Aware of our ability to form high tensile spring wire in 3 dimensions, a client from the agriculture industry came to us for a retainer clip that would be used as a link on a mesh conveyor belt. The client supplied the 2D CAD drawings and we fabricated this pod mesh retainer clip from oil tempered spring steel wire with a diameter of 0.12″/0.125″, and a plain finish. Utilizing our CNC wire forming equipment to bend the wire, the clip had dimensions of 2.515″ long, 0.625″wide, and 0.625″.
Working to tightest tolerances of ± 0.010″ and angular tolerances of ± 1°, we guaranteed the highest quality products with in-process testing and inspections such as dimensional inspections, visual inspections, and deflection/load testing. The production run for this retainer clip was 3,000 units. We completed the fabrication and delivered the products in 3 days.
